About Me
Hey, I'm Patricia, the blogger and recipe developer behind the Bake Cook Repeat Blog
Welcome to Bake Cook Repeat. If you’re looking for simple, rustic and realistic everyday recipes, you’ve come to the right place. The recipes you will find here are inspired by the people and places I love most. It’s pretty simple and straightforward. A direct reflection of the simple life I live. I hope you take some time to read more about me. It’s what drives the recipes you see on this site!
My Story
I started an Instagram in 2020 vlogging my favorite recipes. At the time, I was working full-time as a healthcare manager in a geriatric facility, which I loved. If you know me, you know I have a big heart for people. Over the years, that small Instagram page has turned into a big brand. This website was born in 2024 and I couldn’t be more excited!
You may not know this but we are actually a husband and wife duo. We work together capturing the step by step recipe making process through photos and videos. I cannot do it without him. My husband, Drago, is the guy behind the scenes that edits our photos and video. He handles our 2 cameras, audio system and everything in between. When he’s not helping me, he’s running his own architectural commercial photography and videography business. If you’re interested in that kind of stuff, his website is www.dragomartin.com
Every recipe you find on here is tested, tried and true!
A Few Important Things To Know About Me
- I am a wife, daughter, sister, auntie, friend, food blogger, photographer, videographer, recipe developer, writer and influencer, in that order.
- I'm a bread enthusiast. I love all types, shapes and flavors. Especially focaccia.
- Faith and family are important to me.
I am mostly self-taught when it comes to being in the kitchen...
Much of what I learned came my grandma, my mama and The Food Network. Does anyone remember Good Eats, Barefoot Contessa or 30 minute meals? Now those were the good old days!
As I mentioned earlier, the recipes you find here are inspired by those I love dearly and have been passed down in our family. The first recipe that I learned was how to make crepes, and of course, without any measurements. Even to this day, ask to make a batch of crepes and you will not find a measuring tool in sight. My parents came to the United States as refugees from Romania with three little kids behind them. I am working against the typical, conventional mold here. But like many immigrants, an opportunity to follow my dreams is what I’m after and it all starts here in this small corner of the internet.
As my recipe collection continues to grow, I hope you stick around. I hope my recipes make their way around your table and bring you joy and comfort like it has for us.
With love and focaccia,
Patricia
